Glacier National Park's West Side

Flathead River

The Flathead River starts in the Rocky Mountains, flows into Flathead Lake, and empties into Clark Fork. And it runs just a short distance from Columbia Falls RV Park! The river is a great place to try your luck fishing for rainbow trout and cutthroat trout. River's Edge Park, a 27-acre park along the Flathead River, is a short 10 minute walk from the park and provides walking trails and picnic facilities. There is over 900' of river frontage to walk along with beautiful views of Teakettle and Columbia Mountain along the riverbank.
