Columbia Falls' Best Restaurants and Bars

Columbia Falls has any number of great restaurants for you to enjoy. Many of them are walking distance from Columbia Falls RV Park. In this article, we've listed a few of our favorite nearby restaurants and bars. For more information, feel free to give us a call at your convenience.

Three Forks Grill

  • Hours: Daily, 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. (Also, Sunday, 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 pm)
  • Distance from us: 0.4 miles


Three Forks Grille serves Rocky Mountain cuisine with a Mediterranean influence. The menu can vary, depending on the season, but typically include excellent steaks, seafood, and wild game. They strive to offer sustainable meals made up of the freshest local ingredients available. The Bison Burger and Grilled Rainbow Trout are highly recommended. Open daily for dinner. On Sundays, they are also open for brunch.

Mudman Columbia Falls

  • Address: 1116 9th St W, Columbia Falls, MT
  • Hours: Monday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. (Closed Sunday.)

Mudman serves burgers, apparently excellent burgers. Reviews of the Mudman Burger are almost universally great, with many reviewers saying it's the best burger they ever had. Mudman also serves a variety of other sandwiches, as well as great milkshakes. At the Columbia Falls location, they also have breakfast meals, including bacon, sausage, and eggs, along with breakfast sandwiches. Open most days for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Closed on Sunday.

Nite Owl and Backroom Restaurants

Like the name implies, Nite Owl and Backroom Restaurants are two adjoining restaurants. Both restaurants are family owned and operated.

The Nite Owl offers a variety of meats and salads, as well as pizza and breakfast meals. The restaurant also includes a small casino with poker and keno machines. The Nite Owl opens at 7:00 a.m.

The Backroom is a family-oriented restaurant, specializing in fresh steaks, ribs, and burgers. At the restaurant, you can enjoy your meal on a deck outside, and get fantastic views of Columbia Mountain and Glacier Park. The Backroom opens at 4:00 p.m.

Backslope Brewing

  • Address: 1107 9th St W, Columbia Falls, MT
  • Hours: Daily, 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
  • Distance from us: 1.0 mile


Backslope Brewing is a family-owned brewery and restaurant overlooking Glacier National Park. From their taproom, you can enjoy handcrafted beers and in a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere. From the kitchen, you can enjoy a variety of burgers, sandwiches, salads, and fries. Backslope Brewing also has a store where you can purchase Backslope merchandise. Open for lunch and dinner.

Gunsight Saloon

  • Address: 624 Nucleus Ave, Columbia Falls, MT
  • Hours: Daily, 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. (open 11:00 on Saturday and Sunday)
  • Distance from us: 0.4 miles


Gunsight Saloon offers beer and casual bar food in a classic western setting. They also have a selection of cocktails and wines for you to choose from. And, they regularly have live music from area musicians. Check out the website for their live music schedule.

Vaqueros

  • Hours: Daily, 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. (Friday and Saturday, until 11:00 p.m.)

Vaqueros is one of the area's most popular Mexican restaurants. Here, you can enjoy traditional Mexican cuisine served in a relaxing atmosphere. This family-owned and family-operated restaurant also has excellent margaritas. Besides regular restaurant seating, Vaqueros has a sports bar, casino, and front patio. Open daily for lunch and dinner.
